Fire Ops 101

Fire Ops 101 is a hands-on experience designed for elected officials and executive leaders from both Livermore and Pleasanton. This collaborative event, hosted by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) in partnership with IAFF Local 1974, with meals provided by the Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Foundation—places participants in the role of a firefighter for a day. 

Through interactive scenarios like wearing full gear, navigating search and rescue environments, and observing emergency operations, participants gain a firsthand understanding of the physical demands, critical decision-making, and teamwork required to keep communities safe.
