Inspections
Inspection services include but are not limited to:
- Construction Project Inspections:
- Fire Protection System Installations, modification, and repairs
- Fire Alarm Systems installation, modification, and repairs
- Fixed Fire Protection Systems (Wet-Chem, Foam, FM200/Clean Agent system
- Hazardous Materials related systems
- Service Inspections
- Knox Box
- Defensible Space
- Pre-Project Review
- Fire Clearance, includes Pre-Licensing requests
- Event Permit Inspections
Inspection Times
Inspections are conducted during normal business hours with at least 48 hours (2 days) advanced notice. Inspection times are scheduled as:
- AM Inspections: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
- PM Inspections*: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
*There are no inspections available on Tuesday afternoon due to administrative needs.
Construction Projects
Inspections associated with a permit must be requested as follows:
- Login to ACA Portal. Must use email associated with the permit account.
- City of Livermore: Online ACA Portal
- City of Pleasanton: Online ACA Portal
Fire Clearance
Steps for the Business Operator to obtain a fire clearance:
Fire Clearance / Pre-Inspection
- Submit Online Inspection Request Form.
- Pay Fee: Staff will contact you.
- Receive Pre-Inspection Checklist.
- Schedule Date at least 2 days prior to date of inspection.
850 Fire Clearance
- 850 Form received from State Agency.
- LPFD will review 850 Form.
- LPFD will contact you to schedule an inspection.
- Correct any deficiencies noted.
- Complete Online Inspection Request Form at least 2 days prior to date of inspection for LPFD to verify corrections are completed.
Annual Fire Clearance
- Submit Online Inspection Request Form.
- Prior to 9:00 am at least 2 days prior to date of inspection.
