Who do I report poor air quality to?
- Air pollution complaints can be reported to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) either online or by phone (415-749-5000)
Does LPFD install car seats?
- LPFD does not install car seats, however California Highway Patrol has been known to assist with the installation of car seats.
Does LPFD provide CPR/First Aid Training?
- LPFD does not provide CPR or First Aid Training, however there are several local facilities that offer these types of training.
How do I dispose of my Fire Extinguisher?
- To dispose of Fire Extinguishers residents of Alameda County may schedule a drop off at a Household Hazardous Waste Facility: stopwaste.org
Where can I get my Fire Extinguisher recharged?
- Rechargeable fire extinguishers can be recharged by a certified fire equipment dealer.
How do I report a leaking fire hydrant?
- If the hydrant is in the City of Pleasanton call 925-931-5524. If the hydrant is in the City of Livermore call 925-960-8100.
Will LPFD retire my American Flag?
- Yes, American Flags can be dropped off at anyone of our 10 stations to be retired.
How do I request a Lift Assist?
- If the individual in need of a lift assist is not in an emergency or life-threatening situation please call non-emergency dispatch at 925-447-4257. For emergencies call 911.
Where can I dispose of needles and syringes?
- Needles and syringes can be dropped off at an Alameda Household Hazardous Waste facility, but they must be placed in a FDA-cleared "sharps disposal container".
Will LPFD dispose of my pills/medications?
- LPFD does not dispose of pills/medications. Please refer to this excellent site provided by Stopwaste for medication drop off locations: stopwaste.org
Where can I submit Fire Permits for review?
- Fire Permits for projects within the City of Pleasanton can be submitted for review through the City of Pleasanton's website: Plan Check Submittal (Pleasanton)
- Fire Permits for projects within the City of Livermore must be submitted as hardcopies at the City of Livermore Permit Center.
How do I schedule a Station Tour?
- To schedule a station tour please fill out our Public Education Request Form and return the form to lpfdtours@lpfire.org . Tours must be scheduled 2 weeks in advance with no more that 25 guests in attendance.
Will LPFD give a safety talk at my school?
- Yes, schools within our jurisdiction can schedule a site visit. To schedule a site visit please fill out our Public Education Request Form and return the form to lpfdtours@lpfire.org.
To whom can I report overgrown vegetation located at a residence?
- If the residence is in the City of Livermore, contact Livermore Neighborhood Preservation at 925-960-4444.
- If the residence is in the City of Pleasanton, contact Pleasanton Code Enforcement at 925-931-5620.
How do I request an incident report?
- To request an incident report please fill out our Incident Report Request Form. Return the form to lpfdpostmaster@lpfire.org.
