Fire Station Tours
Station tours last approximately 30 minutes and include a viewing of the living quarters, dining area, work area, vehicles and apparatus garage. No more than 25-30 people are allowed in the station at one time, including chaperones.
For public safety purposes, we do not conduct Birthday Party tours or allow any Birthday Party events to take place within the stations.
Engine Companies, schedule permitting, are available to visit businesses and schools. Our program is geared to children three years and older. Site Visits last approximately 30 minutes and include an age-appropriate fire safety talk, as well as a question and answer session.
To schedule a Station Tour or Site Visit please fill out our Public Education Request form and send it to LPFDTours@lpfire.org.
Please be advised
All crews are still susceptible to emergency calls during a public education tour, visit and event. If a crew is not present at the time requested, please be patient; chances are they are en route. If you have waited 15 minutes and there is no crew, please call (925) 454-2361 to reschedule. In the event the crew is dispatched during your visit, we apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you reschedule for another time. We are happy to make future arrangements for you and your group.
We ask that you provide us dates at least 2-3 weeks in advance.
Tours and visits can be scheduled any day of the week. We ask that morning requests be scheduled after 10 a.m. and afternoon requests be scheduled after 1:00 p.m.
If you have any questions please call (925)454-2361.
